BARRK has been rehoming dogs now for 28 years and inevitably some dogs come to us with pre-existing conditions that require long term medication. If a dog is rehomed with a pre-existing condition then BARRK will fund that dog for the duration of its life.
The Competition & Markets Authority is actively investigating the rising veterinary prices and since 2013 about 1500 of the 5000 vet practices in the UK have been acquired by six large corporate groups CVS, IVS, Linnaeus, Medivet, Pets at Home and VetPartners.

We are happy to accept a minimum donation of £250.

You can contact us by phone or email; initially you will be screened by phone and this will be followed by an outdoor home visit to assess your suitability/environment for the particular dog you wish to adopt.
We understand that for the vast majority of people the decision to place your dog into our care would not have been taken lightly. Initially we will get information over the phone to make a general assessment of your dog, this will be followed by an outdoor home visit which allows us to get a general feel for the dog’s temperament and will aid us in establishing a suitable match, this will also be an opportunity for us to get a much broader profile/photograph, which will be posted on our website.
