Celebrating our 30th year 1996 — 2026
We at B.A.R.R.K are proud to have been able to help support families and individuals navigate through the process of having to place their beloved dog with us for adoption, we recognise that for almost everyone it is not a decision that is made lightly, and that usually all other options to keep your beloved pet have been exhausted.
We are equally proud of our success in finding loving new homes for dogs and bringing joy once more to families and individuals who no longer have a dog to share their lives with, for various reasons.
The success of our charity is down to a dedicated and loyal group of volunteers who have assisted in many roles over the past 30 years, our charity shop is immensely popular and its continued success is down to all those people who so generously donate goods to us.
In celebration of our 30th Year all our volunteers enjoyed an afternoon lunch at The Fife Lodge Hotel, Banff, it was marked with thanks to Liz Mackenzie for her hard work and dedication which she has given these past 30 years, she has been a loyal supporter of and also one of the founder members, a great deal of gratitude was extended to all the volunteers who have given their time and commitment to ensuring that BARRK is the success that it is today, the group were regaled with numerous stories about some of dogs that have come into our care over the last 3 decades, to date BARRK has found loving new homes for over 3,000 dogs.
