Rehoming Story

Loving my new home

My name is Thorin

And this is my success story...

He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered, no cats, he is living with another dog , however Thorin can be very reactive to other dogs when out and about, this behaviour does improve after some gentle introductions, he is currently walked in places where meeting other dogs is reduced, Thorin has previously attended a four week residential training programme and progress was made as he integrated well with the other dogs on site, he is fine around children 12 years and upwards, fine in the car, if he is in a secure place his recall is fine, he does have a very high prey drive and will chase anything from a leaf to a deer, he is very strong on lead, he will need access to a very secure garden, he is crate trained and is fine if he is left for short periods, on the plus side Thorin is a very loving boy who loves to snuggle up on the sofa, Thorin will need adopters who are well versed in dog handling and have the knowledge and experience to manage his strong prey drive and work on his socialisation and lead skills, he is not the dog for a novice, he is best suited to a small town or village
